Data Protection Act 1998
"Your personal data will be actively protected when being processed, used and stored by the Council and its staff. From time to time to ensure that the system is not being abused and to help to prevent and detect possible fraud, corruption and money laundering, the Council may find that it has to exchange and match the contents of this system with other local and central government departments, official regulatory agencies and trusts, wherever appropriate. However, the Council shall ensure that your personal information is protected from access by unauthorised third parties at all times."

Upon request by e-mail to DP.Officer@ambervalley.gov.uk we will inform you whether your personal information is stored by us.

You may also write to Data Protection Officer, Amber Valley Borough Council, PO Box 1, Town Hall, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3WZ to ask for a copy of your information and we will respond within 40 days to requests for information sent by post, on payment of a small fee.
